Product Introduction: Inulin is a reserve polysaccharide found in plants. It is a type of natural fructooligosaccharide carbohydrate contained in plants, serving as another form of energy storage in plants apart from starch. It is a natural prebiotic and, in addition to its prebiotic effects, also contributes to the production of short-chain fatty acids during intestinal metabolism. It is mainly derived from plants. Currently, commercially available inulin is obtained from the extraction and refinement of plants such as chive, chicory, and agave.
Safety and Dosage: In 2003, the US FDA confirmed inulin as a GRAS (generally recognized as safe) substance. The recommended maximum intake is 15-20 grams.
