Xylo-oligosaccharide (abbreviated as XOS) is a functional polysaccharide composed of 2 to 7 xylose molecules linked by β(1-4) glycosidic bonds. It is also known as wood oligosaccharide. Xylo-oligosaccharide has excellent physical and chemical properties as well as physiological functions. Its sweetness is equivalent to 40% of that of sucrose. The sugar powder is a white or slightly yellow solid powder. There are no visible impurities, and it has the unique smell of this product without any unpleasant odor.

I. Characteristics 
1. Good acid and heat stability. When heated to 100°C in acidic conditions (pH = 2.5 - 8), it basically does not decompose and can cover the pH values of most food systems. 
2. Low intake of the active ingredient. The daily effective dosage is 0.7 - 1.4 grams.
